Supervisor and Council
The administration of West Seneca consists of the office of the Supervisor, Town Board and Town Attorney
The Town Board is composed of the Supervisor and four Town Council Members. It is the responsibility of the Town Board to run the town government, including legislation, budget, and hiring.
The Supervisor and four Town Council Members make policy decisions in accord with procedures and responsibilities set out in State law. The Town Supervisor carries out policies and directives of the Council.
The Supervisor is elected for four-year terms. Council Members are also elected for four-year terms, but the terms are staggered so two seats are filled by an election every two years. Town elections for Supervisor and Town Council are partisan and at large (no wards/districts are designated) and are held in November of odd-numbered years. Erie County Board of Elections: 716-858-8891.
The Town Council appoints several boards and commissions as well as various advisory committees and task forces.
