Hunting and Fishing Licenses

Hunting season runs September 1st (of the current year) through August 31st (of the following year).

Anyone wishing to renew a hunting license must provide a New York State driver's license or New York State non-drivers ID. New licenses may be obtained by presenting proof of training certificates and a valid New York State driver's license/non-drivers ID.

Fishing season runs for one year from the date of purchase. New York State drivers license or non-drivers ID is required.

Leftover DMPs for the 2024-25 hunting season are now available.  Beginning November 1st hunters can apply for up to two leftover DMPs on a first come first serve basis at our office.  No applications will be accepted over the phone, by mail or online.
