a.       Presentation materials have been provided by Scarlett Hanley for a Community Gardens Initiative. Scarlett is not able to attend the meeting, but Chairperson Amadon will present the materials for review and discussion.

6)      Strategic Planning Document - Updated copy provided to commission members. Where do we keep this on the town website? How often should we review and update? Minimum twice per year?

7)      Ongoing Commission Projects

a.         Bikes

1.         Letter from West Seneca Bikes forwarded to the Town Board in March 2023 with several recommendations regarding safe bike travel in West Seneca. The Environmental Commission has not received feedback from the Town Board. The Town Council Liaison to find out status of this.

b.         Trees

1.         Status of the DEC Grant for Tree Inventory, and Urban Forestry Management Plan. - Scott Robertson

c.         Education

d.         Waterways

1.         Scott Robertson met with Highway Superintendent Brian Adams and obtained 60 storm drain medallions and 2 tubes of epoxy. He also ordered 100 more medallions. Need to discuss best course of action to replace missing medallions. Should first priority be to place these on newer town streets (streets that were reconstructed, and streets in new developments) that were not included in the past project? Is a sub-committee needed on this?

2.         Status of other activities on past grants for waterways - Evelyn Hicks

e.         Community Needs and Interests, etc.

8)      Governance

1. Vote on appointment of Thomas Mudd, Jr. as Financial Secretary, and for Evelyn Hicks as Vice-Chair (with stipulation to not be considered for Chair if vacancy occurs)
