Columbia Pkwy./Belgia Place Reconstruction Project

Sealed proposals for the Columbia Pkwy./Belgia Place Reconstruction Project (Job No. C-1102), which includes complete reconstruction of approximately 2050 lineal feet of roadway including asphalt pavement, underdrains, watermain, storm sewers, concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, driveway approaches, trees, restoration, etc. will be received until 10:00 AM local time, May 16, 2011 at the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 1250 Union Road, West Seneca, New York 14224, and thereafter said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Court Room of the Town Hall.
 
This contract will be funded wholly or partially with federal funds and, as such, is subject to all federal rules and regulations pertinent thereto, including but not limited to the federal policy of encouraging the participation of minority and women business enterprises as sources of supplies, equipment, construction and other services.
 
Plans, specifications and contract documents will be available for inspection May 2, 2011 at the office of the Town Clerk and copies will be furnished upon deposit of $100.00 per set in the form of two $50.00 checks, made payable to the Town of West Seneca.
 
Any bidder returning the contract plans and specifications in good condition within ten days following the award of the contract, or the rejection of the bids, will be refunded the full amount of the deposit. Similarly, non-bidders will be refunded one-half the deposit.
Each bidder shall file with his proposal a certified check in an amount equal to 10% of the amount of the bid, payable to the order of Wallace C Piorowski, Supervisor of the Town of West Seneca, or a bid bond in like amount subject to the conditions provided in the instructions to bidders.
 
No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the date of actual opening thereof.
 
The Town of West Seneca reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to the lowest responsible bidder on the basis of his total base bid and accepted alternates, if such alternates are included in the proposal form.
