Jacob Strohm owned a grocery store, with seep wooden stairs, at the corner of center and union Roads. He had a daughter named Mildred. Jacob later died of lung cancer.
John Wolfgruber was a floor walker at the AM&A's Department Store. He had two sons, Earl and Paul, and a daughter, Grace.
Earl was a Professor of Design and Visual Communications at Buffalo State College. He designed the Buffalo State College logo of the hands releasing doves becoming the flame of knowledge.
Paul became a General Practitioner in Central New York. He was the doctor for Arkport/Hornell until his retirement.
John's daughter, Grace, married Lucien Plumley. Lou Plumley served as Director of the Syracuse University Ranger School at Waunekena, NY during the late 1960's and early 1970's. |
